POLICIES
Following are the policies of The Guitar Studio. These policies are designed to help keep clear the needs and concerns of those who study and those who teach at The Guitar Studio. If there are any concerns about these policies or about anything not mentioned in these policies, please be sure to discuss them with your instructor. We at The Guitar Studio believe that any problem can be resolved if honest and sincere discussion is aimed at helping all involved.
Fees: Fees are to be paid by the month and cover one lesson per week, even when there are five weeks in the month. There will be no extra charge for the fifth lesson when it occurs. The monthly fees are as follows:
30-minute lesson - $120.00 per month
45-minute lessons - $180.00 per month
60-minute lessons - $240.00 per month
Single lessons will be charged at $70.00 per hour.

Payment Policy: Payment is due on the last lesson of the month for the coming month, so, payment is made in advance. Other arrangements may be made if needed, however, it very much helps the bookkeeping if everyone pays on the same week. Credits will not be applied to the next month’s fee for lessons missed due to holidays, vacations, or absences without prior approval of the instructor and at the discretion of the instructor. Music and music materials are not included in the monthly fee and are the responsibility of the student. If lessons are terminated within the course of the month, the remaining lessons will not be refunded.
Holidays: The following holidays will be observed:
Labor Day --- First Monday in September
Thanksgiving --- Last Thursday through Saturday in November
Christmas --- The day before Christmas Eve through January
Spring Break --- TBA
There will be no scheduled lessons during the holidays listed above. Lessons falling on holidays will not be credited to the next monthly fee, and the instructor is under no obligation to reschedule these lessons.
Rescheduled Lessons: Missed lessons will be rescheduled at the instructor’s discretion. Please remember that the student’s lesson day and time is reserved only for that one student. A twenty-four hour advanced notice of canceling a lesson is greatly appreciated. The instructor will make every effort to reschedule lessons missed due to unavoidable reasons. The instructor in under no obligation to reschedule lessons missed do to the student’s lack of practicing, the student just not attending their lesson, or any other non-important reason for missing their lesson. Lessons missed due to the instructor’s cancellation will be rescheduled or credited to the next month’s fee according to the student’s preference.
Each instructor reserves the right to amend and modify these policies in accordance to the individual needs of their students and their studio. Please be sure to discuss any problem relating to these policies with your instructor.
